Beginner Steroid Cycle Guide

Around the world, many gym-goers dabble in illegal anabolic steroids in some shape or form. Of these many steroid-users however, you can bet that only a minute proportion are using them responsibly and safely.

In order to get the results that you want from steroid usage, as well as to use them in a way that allows your body to function as usual, you need to know how to embark upon the best beginner steroid cycle possible.

Understanding steroids for beginners

The use of illegal anabolic steroids, of course, involves the deliberate alteration of your body’s natural growth systems. If you do this without being properly clued up, your results will likely be far from what you’d hoped. As a beginner, your body will be more sensitive to the effects of anabolic steroids, as you won’t have built up a tolerance yet.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the best beginner steroid cycle for lean mass, along with a ton of tips and tricks to help you out. Here’s how to get the best first steroid cycle possible…

Note: while we are providing this information in the interest of keeping you informed, we don’t condone the use of illegal anabolic steroids. If you’re looking to get ripped in a way that is safe, legal and effective, we’d instead recommend BrutalForce.

BrutalForce is a 100% safe, legal steroid alternative, with no injections or side effects.

How do steroids work?

It’s important to start off with understanding exactly how anabolic steroids work.

Essentially, steroids replicate the effect of testosterone within your body, which is the male hormone responsible for muscle growth, amongst many other things.

By using steroids, you enable your body to work harder in the gym, as well as to recover faster between workouts.

Your workouts will also hit harder, meaning you’ll see more impressive results quicker.

What are some of the best steroids for beginners?

Every human body is different, and there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to steroids. The way in which steroids can affect your body can depend on your age, sex, genetics and even environmental factors.

But before you dive deep into the world of beginner steroid cycles and everything in between, it’s best to know plenty of information first – so you can make an informed decision.

Here are some of the options that are generally thought to be best for newcomers…

Testosterone Enanthate

Testosterone is one of the most commonly used steroids for beginners in their first cycles. This is because testosterone brings big gains, while also steering clear of harsher side effects.

The negative point with testosterone is that it is, primarily, injected, which makes it a far less pleasant process than other entry-level steroids.

Popular forms include testosterone enanthate, testosterone suspension, testosterone acetate, and testosterone propionate. The difference between these various forms are mostly around how long they take to kick in, and how regularly you need to take injections.

Testosterone enanthate increases/replenishes stores of testosterone, which can be depleted by other forms of anabolic steroid, hence the popularity of this particular one.

Suggested dosage: For beginners, 300 to 500mg weekly.

Other benefits include increased endurance, and a general increase in effectiveness at gaining lean muscle.

However, there are also side effects to consider, including:

  • Nausea
  • Numbness
  • Acne
  • Breast swelling in men (man boobs)
  • Mood swings
  • Shortness of breath
  • Water retention
  • Hair thinning/hair loss

Some men opt to take an effective aromatase inhibitor (AI) such as Arimidex alongside testosterone, to decrease the chances of those dreaded man boobs. However, that, in turn, has its own side effects – exacerbating your blood pressure.

The higher your dose of testosterone, the higher the chances of man boobs occurring.

Of all the bodybuilding steroids for beginners, Anavar may be most accessible for beginners. It is a lot less potent than testosterone for starters, and benefits include the fact that it is orally taken, it builds muscles, and fat burning is enhanced.

If you’re hoping to build substantial muscle to get the best first steroid cycle, however, Anavar isn’t your best bet. It builds less muscle than other steroids, as well as being very expensive.

To get the most out of your muscle and fat loss gains, some bodybuilders prefer to stack Anavar with testosterone. However, side effects can be increased during this cycle.

Anavar side effects include:

  • Testosterone suppression
  • Increased LDL cholesterol
  • Oily skin

As well as the potential for hair thinning.

Dianabol is a useful steroid for beginners because it’s taken orally, rather than injected, and its effects build up gradually over time, allowing you to get a feel for the steroid. It may be two to four weeks before you begin to really feel the impact.

Your first cycle of Dianabol is recommended as no more than six weeks—beyond this, side effects can increase in severity.

For beginners, the dosage suggested is: 15 to 30mg daily, for no longer than six weeks.

The potential side effects of Dianabol include:

  • Acne
  • Liver damage
  • Hair loss
  • Development of breast tissue in men (dreaded man boobs)
  • Increased blood pressure

While potential benefits, on the other hand, include increased endurance, suped-up fat burning, and shorter recovery periods between workouts.

During a first cycle, some beginner bodybuilders can see up to 70lbs added on compound exercises, since Dbol is one of the best beginner steroids for building strength.

Since Dianabol is particularly hepatotoxic, a liver support should be taken during your cycle.

Commonly used for muscle growth, Nandrolone is injected straight into the muscle. It works to increase your appetite, speeds up muscle growth, and cut down recovery times.

Recommend dosage for beginners: 200mg per week, with two injections of 100mg in the first week, then 200mg weekly thereafter.

There are many worrying side-effects, however.

As well as lowering your sperm count and potentially rendering you impotent, you can also experience:

  • Acne all over your body
  • Vomiting
  • Damage to the liver
  • In women – excess hair growth and certain undesirable effects regarding the genitals, which we won’t quite detail here.

Winstrol may be a steroid for beginners, but it is not one to be taken lightly. Since it has such a broad set of side effects, you will need to take extreme care if you opt for this steroid.

Since Winstrol doesn’t convert into oestrogen, you’re less likely to form man boobs, which is one plus! Unlike other steroids, Winstrol is typically used to gain a lean look.

Other benefits include:

  • More intense workouts, without increased red blood cell production
  • Available orally or via injections
  • Won’t damage your liver (unlike some other steroids)
  • Can be used with other steroids as a stack

However, similar to many other steroids that consider themselves the best ‘steroids for beginners’, Winstrol does have side effects, including:

  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Acne
  • Feeling nauseous
  • Low libido
  • Can affect your skin colour

Sustanon requires injections once every five days. You can get it in the UK with a prescription, although it is only sold on the black market in the US, making any Sustanon cycle for beginners very difficult.

Side effects include:

  • Mood swings
  • Water retention
  • Sensitive nipples
  • Baldness
  • Acne
  • Oily skin

Best beginner steroid cycles

By now, the side effects associated with using anabolic steroids couldn’t be clearer! While some may have short term effects, some can affect your body in the long term – causing serious health issues.

So, if you’re looking for a beginner steroid cycle, approach it with great care and attention.

But what even is a steroid cycle?

Since steroids can be incredibly powerful, and have huge effects on your body (both positive and negative!), understanding how to use them is crucial to your health and safety.

It comes as no surprise that bodybuilders use these potent substances in ‘cycles’ since our bodies are not designed for these hormones and steroids long term. In fact, injecting large amounts can actually kill you – we told you, they’re scary stuff.

A cycle typically lasts between 4 to 6 weeks, resuming once your body has returned to its pre-steroid state and is free of its effects.

Dianabol (Dbol) only cycle

Many beginner bodybuilders have heard of Dbol and the effects it can have on your body goals. If you opt for a Dbol-only cycle, it can last 8 weeks, with the first 5 weeks consisting of 20mg daily – before post cycle therapy (PCT).

Winstrol only cycle

If you opt for a Winstrol only cycle, you will follow a similar pattern of 8 weeks.

Weeks 1 to 5 – 30mg daily

Weeks 6 to 8 – PCT

Testosterone Enanthate only cycle

When you choose to only cycle with testosterone enanthate, you can expect it to last a hefty 15 weeks! Take 500mg weekly until week 10. Skip 11 and 12 then go into PCT.

Testosterone Enanthate and Dianabol Cycle

With Dianabol considered a lighter steroid, it is commonly stacked with testosterone enanthate to increase its effects. Typically, a cycle for testosterone enanthate and Dianabol lasts for 15 weeks.

In weeks 1 to 4 – take 500mg of testosterone enanthate weekly, with Dianabol is 30mg daily.

Weeks 5 to 10 – take 500mg of testosterone weekly. Take a break between weeks 11 and 12 before heading into PCT for the remaining 13 to 15.

Testosterone Enanthate and Nandrolone Decanoate Cycle

If you thought the previous cycles sounded a little heavy, say hello to this combo cycle!

A testosterone enanthate and nandrolone decanoate cycle lasts a whopping 17 weeks.

Weeks 1 to 10 – 500mg of testosterone enanthate weekly, with 400mg of nandrolone decanoate weekly.

Weeks 11 to 13 – allow your body to rest

Weeks 14 to 17 – PCT.

Why is a beginner steroid cycle important?

Steroids can be extremely dangerous if used wrongly. Steroid users therefore work in cycles to give their bodies a rest in between injecting further high doses of hormones.

Cycles are usually around one to two months, with the first half used for taking the steroids, and the second month a recovery phase.

The importance of post cycle therapy (PCT)

When you take your body through a steroid cycle, hormones that your body naturally produces are suppressed.

Although steroids and testosterone are designed to enhance your performance and muscle gain, this newfound testosterone is recognised as excessive by your body. Then what does it do? It stops producing it entirely.

Taking a break from steroid cycles (hence, cycles, not long term!) allows your body to repair and recover from steroid use.

Put simply, PCT works to prevent steroid side effects and maintain those gains you’ve earned during the cycle itself.

Try a legal alternative to steroids

Since anabolic steroids aren’t particularly legal, or safe, it comes as no surprise that previous steroid users now opt for legal and safe alternatives.

With so many risks and potential health problems involved, to save yourself the headache (quite literally!) of steroids, stay well clear!

However, if you’re shopping around for legal and safe alternatives to popular steroids, you’re going to want to try Brutal Force’s range of steroid substitutes.

Let’s face it, the side effects just aren’t worth it.

We offer 100% legal steroid alternative to popular go-to roids, including:

  • DBULK (Dianabol alternative)
  • ABULK (Anadrol alternative)
  • SBULK (Testosterone sustanon alternative)
  • TBULK (Trenbolone alternative)
  • CCUT (Clenbuterol alternative)

So whether you’re looking to shred fat, get lean or increase muscle mass, we’ve got you covered.

The takeaway on bodybuilding steroids for beginners

The key takeaway from this article for anybody considering using anabolic steroids is that, whatever outcome you’re hoping for, the side effects just aren’t worth the risks.

The best beginner steroid cycle is to not take steroids at all, and instead opt for a natural, safe, super-effective alternative—like Brutal Force.

Whether you’re bulking, cutting or looking to stack, we’ve got everything you need.
