Hexarelin HGH dosage, side effects and benefits

Hexarelin, often referred to as Examorelin and Hexarelin Acetate is a potent, synthetic hexapeptide, which is known for enhancing growth hormone release.

By now, we’re all pretty clued up on the effects of human growth hormone, right? But if you’re not sure, here’s a quick recap:

What is growth hormone?

Human growth hormone is produced naturally by the pituitary gland, spurring growth in children and adolescents. Growth hormone is important for growth and cell regeneration, while playing a crucial role in building, maintaining and repairing healthy tissue in the brain and organs.

In a bodybuilding setting, many men look for a way to boost growth hormone levels, in order to enhance muscle growth and build lean muscle mass.

Hexarelin has similar benefits and function as GHRP-6, but it is reported to be much more potent, increasing growth hormone levels even further.

How does Hexarelin work?

Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone releasing peptide (GHRP) which acts via specific receptors at both the pituitary gland and the hypothalamic level to stimulate growth hormone GH.

Composed of a chain of amino acids, Hexarelin works to stimulate the pituitary gland into producing growth hormone. With room for plenty of further research, the exact way in which Hexarelin works in comparison to GHRP-6 is somewhat unknown, however, it has shown to deliver stronger results from its first use.

Alongside a Hexarelin dosage boosting HGH levels, further data has shown it can increase cortisol and prolactin levels in the body. However, this can differ between users, with the increase in prolactin showing to not be as significant as other anabolic steroids.

Unlike GHRP-6, however, Hexarelin does not appear to increase ghrelin levels, despite the fact their chemical make up is pretty much identical.

What does ‘growth hormone secretagogue’ mean?

Growth hormone secretagogues (GHS) are synthetic, non-natural peptidyl and non-peptidyl molecules. A growth hormone secretagogue works to increase growth hormone releasing, encouraging muscle growth.

However, further research is needed to better understand the effects of long term administration of Hexarelin peptide and other GHS’. Some Hexarelin benefits could include growth velocity (in children), reduced bone turnover and improved lean muscle growth.

What was Hexarelin peptide developed for?

Despite its use by bodybuilders, Hexarelin was originally designed to treat things like growth hormone deficiency and congestive heart failure.

During clinical trials, it revealed its ability to increase body strength, reduce body fat boost muscle growth. It comes as no surprise that Hexarelin has been picked up by the bodybuilding community! Much like anabolic steroids, which were originally designed to help patients gain weight after a serious illness, injury or continuing infection.

Anabolic steroids – although now a common part of bodybuilding – were typically developed to treat muscle wasting conditions and even certain types of anemia.

Cardiovascular health

During medical research on animals, Hexarelin was used in relation to cardiovascular health. When tested on rats, their research revealed that their hearts were notably protected and the CPP values, or cerebral perfusion pressure, was in the range of the healthy rats from the beginning of the experiment.

Body composition and muscle growth

During a trial on six old beagles, Hexarelin peptide shows to improve indices of body composition.

Hexarelin dosage

human growth hormone

Hexarelin is generally administered 2-3 times daily at dosages of 100mcg per administration.

Although it’s not unusual for Hexarelin to be used for anti-ageing, it is best suited for athletic performance.

Typically, a Hexarelin dosage is administered at least 2 times per day to increase growth hormone levels as much as possible during a cycle (up to 16 weeks).

Hexarelin administration: Subcutaneous injection to a fleshy part of the body, typically to the stomach or abdominal area.

Hexarelin half life

During medical research, Hexarelin peptide showed to affect plasma gh levels, peaking at about 30 minutes and then decreasing to baseline values within 240 minutes – with a half life of around 55 minutes.

Hexarelin benefits

Although it is referred to as one of the fastest acting growth hormones on the market, it also stops working on the body after a certain amount of time has passed.

According to users, Hexarelin benefits include:

  • Increase in lean muscle growth
  • Improved sleep quality
  • Enhance of athletic performance
  • Increased flexibility and joint health
  • Accelerated fat loss
  • Increased tendon and ligament strength
  • Enhanced recovery time

Of course, Hexarelin results can differ from one user to the next. The type of results you will experience during Hexarelin will depend largely on your diet and exercise regime, too.

Due to its ability to increase lean muscle growth and strength gains, it has grown in popularity with athletes looking to stay lean and improve recovery time.

Some of the best Hexarelin benefits include its healing and recovery properties, with plenty of data reporting it to be the best growth hormone for this purpose. It’s important to note that Hexarelin isn’t ideal for long-term use.

Do the Hexarelin benefits come with potential side effects?

low HGH

Although increased growth hormone levels can result in lean muscle mass growth, improved sleep and fat loss, growth hormone can increase the desire for sleep.

Here are some common Hexarelin side effects:

  • Tiredness and lethargy
  • Excess Hexarelin dosage may lead to water retention
  • Tingling or numbers in the hands and feet
  • May have a stimulatory effect on adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), cortisol, and prolactin

As with all anabolic steroids and growth hormone, the potential risk of Hexarelin side effects are very much real. While the benefits of Hexarelin might seem plentiful, the potential for negative side effects is higher than other growth hormones.

Hexarelin side effects: Estrogenic side effects

The most common estronegic side effect of Hexarelin is water retention. While some users have reported combatting this with diet and exercise, while the growth hormone doesn’t aromatize, there is potential for developing breast tissue – aka, manboobs (or gynecomastia).

Androgenic side effects of Hexarelin use

Hexarelin does not lead to androgenic side effects – such as hair loss and acne, and virilization in women will not occur from the use of this peptide.

Cortisol level risks of Hexarelin

Hexarelin (a synethic growth hormone) may lead to an increase in the levels of cortisol in the body. However, this can depend on the individual, as well as influence from other hormones a user may be taking.

Those who are affected by an elevation of cortisol levels may suffer from symptoms such as difficulty falling or staying asleep an increase in fat gain, and a lowering of the functioning of the immune system.

Other symptoms may include: a lack of sexual desire, depression and anxiety.

GH secretion after Hexarelin

During studies of well nourished 20 to 40 year old HD patients, Hexarelin has shown to peak growth hormone levels. GH levels peaked at 30 min and remained elevated at 180 min.

Hexarelin bodybuilding – Is it worth it?

HGH treatment

Derived from GHRP-6, Hexarelin peptide is considered a selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor and/or growth hormone secretagogue receptor – as well as being known as a growth hormone secretagogue. Although Hexarelin has influence on ghrelin, it doesn’t have a similar sequence to ghrelin, instead it works to mimic ghrelin and act as a ghrelin receptor.

Hexarelin peptide may be incredibly potent, helping your body to produce more growth hormone – to stimulate lean muscle growth and enhance performance – but is it worth it?

Well… We don’t think so. With potential side effects like a decreased libido, increased cortisol levels and increased levels of prolactin, we’re not sure it’s worth the muscle building effects.

Is Hexarelin legal?

Although Hexarelin bodybuilding is pretty common, it is only legally used by research for research purpose and is not for recreational purposes. It currently has no legal status, and hasn’t been deemed safe for human consumption outside of a medical research setting.
